I just got a phonecall from the number 021 - 27535600 Jakarta. Unfortunately I was a bit late to pick up the phone. Thinking that it might be an important call, I tried to call back, but the line was busy all the time, then I decided to browse the net. Apparently this number belongs to a liar/ PENIPU who always call his/her victims by imposting someone who is from a bank/ insurance company.

Beware of this number!! 021 - 27535600. Don't talk too much and avoid to answer by word of  "IYA" or "YES"

I am back to office after taking vacation in Bandung and staying at Sensa Hotel, wonderful. I am thinking of writing someting on this hotel, but of course on other blog.....

Traffic Policeman's Amazing Dance Routine on The Job

KOMPAS.com - All traffic police have a repertoire of moves to direct vehicles, but they're pretty functional - after all, the job is about impersonating a traffic light. However, one U.S. officer has taken the Internet by storm after turning his duties into a spectacularly choreographed artform. For Tony Lepore, directing traffic is no mere routine - it's a dance routine.

He spins on his heels, drops to his knees, falls back on his hands and springs back upright. Blowing his whistle rhythmically, he points his white-gloved fingers frantically from side to side.

Although Mr Lepore, 62, from Providence, Rhode Island, has been entertaining motorists since 1984, his popularity has rocketed due to the internet. Inspired by an old set-up on TV classic Candid Camera, Mr Lepore began adding fancy footwork and flamboyant arm movements to his traffic direction.

'I saw Candid Camera and I thought. 'Gee, maybe tomorrow I'm going to try a couple of spins and hand movements... But I didn't know if my bosses were going to like it,' he said.

However, with positive feedback from amused motorists, police chiefs allowed him to carry on. Drivers not completely distracted by his act will find themselves directed just where they want to be.

'I've had people come down and film me and say, "You're really directing traffic,"' he told local television show The Rhode Show.

The Vietnam veteran has had his share of serious police work, spending nine years on night duty in Providence and being decorated for valour in the line of duty. He once saved two teenage girls by diving into the freezing river after their car overturned into the water. On another occasion he pulled workers from the rubble of a building levelled by an explosion - just in time to save them from a second blast.

But a transfer to day duty and directing traffic left him bored, he says. Three years after inventing his trademark dance routine, Mr Lepore retired and went into catering with his brother, but in 1992 a local newspaper interviewed him for a 'Whatever happened to' feature.

Soon he was invited by the mayor to reprise his act specially for the Christmas season - and he's still doing it today

Weekend in Cibubur

Palnning to go to Cibubur again this weekend, despite the rain hitting Jakarta this week, Cibubur still offers nice and cool weather to enjoy.
Might have lunch at Gado-gado Boplo or Nyonya Suharti and might visit some nice park in Kota Wisata dan Legenda Wisata, looking ath the nice houses along Citra Gran too and its new clusters.

Info on Toll Jagorawi

The Jagorawi Toll Road was the first toll road in Indonesia. Construction on the highway began in 1973 by some 200 workers at a cost of 350 million Indonesian rupiah per kilometer; it was officially opened by President of Indonesia Suharto on 9 March 1978.[1]

The Jagorawi Toll Road links the capital city of Jakarta to the West Javanese cities of Bogor and Ciawi. It has a length of more than 60 km going north and southbound and is operated by PT Jasa Marga, a state-owned enterprise. The name Jagorawi comes from the acronym of areas which it connects which are (Ja)karta - Bo(gor) - Ci(awi).

The Jagorawi Toll Road has two gas stations that belong to Pertamina which are combined with restaurants, rest areas, and even a factory outlet.

The toll road is operated by PT Jasa Marga Tbk.

Rain, Traffic and Flood in Jakarta

The intermezzo for today is traffic and raining. We know that for these couple of days Jakarta and its surrounding areas such as Tangerang, Cibubur, Depok or Bekasi have been showered by the rains. Sometimes it comes in the morning, sometimes at noon and sometimes in the veneing or during the sleep time.
But anyway...we who live in Indonesia will experience this season once a year. We don't have extreme weather buat very humid.

The problem with rain in Jakarta is the flood......my goodness...one can get stuck on the road for hours because of the flood which makes the whole Jakarta jam.

I do wish Cibubur is flood-free..because the land is quite high....and some day Jakarta will be flood free too.

Section ini saya namakan dgn label Intermezzo. Intermezzo ini penting pada saat katakanlah saya tidak memiliki /tidak kepikiran apapun untuk dimasukkan dalam blog saya. termasuk 2 hari belakangan ini saya juga memposting artikel artikel dalam bahasa Inggris. Bahasa Inggris sudah meripakan bagian kehidupan kita, apalagi bahasa Inggris di Indonesia sudah merupakan first foreign language spoken widely in Indonesia.

Thejakartapost.com akan menjadi acuan saya dalam menyajikan artikel-artikel dalam bahasa Inggris mengenai property di Cibubur.

Beberapa hari belakangan ini juga saya gondok sama google adsense saya yg tidak menampilkan iklan iklan yang diharapkan, tetapi hanya menampilkan public service ad, tetapi atas saran bberapa teman akhirnya google adsense saya bisa masuk dan muncul. Saya bisa kasih saran buat yang membutuhkan cara memunculkan google adsense dalam bahasa Indonesia apabila diperlukan

Oh yah, Jakarta sudah masuk musim hujan, banjir sudah dimana-mana. Cibubur masih oke sebagai tempat yang bebas banjir....jadi property disana masih merangkak naik seiring perkembangan kota Jakarta yang pesat juga.
